Hi, I’m Manojit Ballav , but you can call me Mono . I’m a tech enthusiast and product leader with a passion for building seamless, user-centric experiences in consumer technology.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Product Management certification from the University of Maryland . Over the years, I’ve shaped some of India’s most popular smart devices , blending technical innovation with intuitive design .

Current Role

Currently, I’m the Principal Product Manager at Lumio , a technology startup focused on smart TVs and connected devices . Here, I’m driving the next evolution of home entertainment, making content discovery smarter and more intuitive.

My Journey So Far

From 2017 to 2024, I was part of Xiaomi India , where I played a key role in the development, launch, and success of multiple products , including Smart TVs, streaming devices, soundbars, tablets, and Xiaomi HyperOS .

One of my biggest achievements was leading Smart TV product strategy , helping Xiaomi become the No.1 Smart TV brand in India from Q2 2018 to Q4 2023 . I also built and evolved PatchWall , one of India’s first content aggregation platforms, used by over 6 million users . I was responsible for designing PatchWall 3 and 4 , integrating one-click access to sports, news, and YouTube Music , making it one of the first services in India to achieve such integrations.

Beyond Smart TVs, I also managed the Xiaomi Pad 6 , overseeing its product lifecycle and ensuring its success in the Indian market.

With my journey at Xiaomi behind me, I’m now focused on shaping the future of smart entertainment at Lumio . My mission is to redefine how users interact with their screens, making content more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable.
